Wales
UNited kingdom
New Quay, Ceredigion
Wales is the perfect destination for first time travellers wanting to dip their toes in the "travelling world". Travelling is on of the most important ways to learn about new cultures and deepening your understanding of the world, and Wales is a great place to start. It offers tonnes of history with its historic ruins and so much more.

Known for its vast valleys and picturesque countryside and farmland, Wales has so much more than you might think it does. I'll share what I did in Wales and hope that it might inspire your initial journey.

Pencader, Camarthanshire
We travelled by car, which I believe is the best mode of transport for getting to Wales. Unless of course you are able to splash the cash on an hours flight. But if you can't, your car will do just fine. The journey can range from anywhere between 5-7 hours (four hours if you get the time and traffic just right) depending on traffic and what time you start your long journey . But you can always break up the drive stopping of at unique places of their own, if you’re coming from the south of the country, you may come across landmarks like Reading, Newbury and Bath - all with their own history and activities.
We decided to make a pit stop in Bath, known best for the Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent, the Bath Abbey and the Jane Austen Centre. Bath is beautiful place for a bit of history and excitement whether you're with the family or solo travelling, either way it’s definitely one of our top recommendations.

Once we arrived in Pencader, Carmarthenshire, Wales we were greeted by the animal that Wales isknown for, a sheep, as our Airbnb was a treehouse conveniently built above a sheep farm. Airbnb’s are a fantastic way to experience Wales in its more natural areas, like living on a farm or in the deep countryside and it creates a more intimate experience with the land around you, making it more personal and relaxing.

New Quay, Caredigion

Overall, the time that I had in Wales was unforgettable. I’ve been many times before, and it won’t be the last. The memories and experiences I’ve gained in Wales are priceless which is the main importance of travel means and how much it builds you as a person.
One amazing place I recommend you go to whilst you’re in Wales is New Quay. It’s a gorgeous seaside town on Cardigan Bay boasting an alluring crescent harbour and loads of seaside shops, boutiques, restaurants to enjoy the stunning views. We go every time we visit Wales, it’s something I definitely would not want to miss out on.
